Choose who can change the catalogue

Your prices matter. You can let a junior add items without letting them change the prices a colleague set. Catalogue rights are a group of their own, separate from contacts, so granting one never grants the other.

  1. Open the Team — Go to Teams in the sidebar (or Settings › Teams) and open the Team.
  2. Open its permissions — Choose the Permissions tab and expand Manage Catalogue.
  3. Turn rights on or off — Switch each right, or use Everything in Manage Catalogue to turn the group on or off.
  4. Save — Press Save changes and confirm. Members get the new rights at their next request, without signing out.
  • Open Catalogue: see the Catalogue section with its items and bundles. Without it, Catalogue leaves the sidebar, but quote, invoice and bill lines still pick items.
  • Create/edit own catalogue: add items, import them, make bundles, and edit items the person added.
  • Edit others’ catalogue: edit items a colleague added.
  • Archive/delete own catalogue: archive, restore or delete items the person added.
  • Archive/delete others’ catalogue: archive, restore or delete items a colleague added.

“Own” means items the person created. Items with no recorded creator count as someone else’s.

  • Without Create/edit own catalogue or Edit others’ catalogue, Add item and Import are hidden.
  • On a colleague’s item, Edit is hidden unless the person has Edit others’ catalogue.
  • Everyone who can open the catalogue can read every item.
  • A bulk change to several items is all or nothing: if any of them is outside the person’s rights, nothing changes.
