Record a quote the customer declines

If the customer decides not to go ahead while you’re showing them a quote, record it there. The quote is marked declined, with their reason if they give one, and the office is told straight away so nobody keeps chasing it.

  1. Present the quote — On the job, under Quotes to present, press Present. See Present a quote and take the customer’s signature.
  2. Decline — Press Decline at the bottom.
  3. Check the details — A sheet titled Decline quote says who is declining which quote for what total, and that your office is told straight away.
  4. Add a reason (optional) — In Reason (optional), note why, for example the price or the timing.
  5. Confirm — Press Decline quote. Cancel goes back to the quote.

The quote is recorded as declined, with the reason as its comment, and the office gets a notification. The quote leaves Quotes to present on the job.

Declining can’t be saved offline. The sheet says “Needs a connection — declining can’t be saved offline.” Move somewhere with signal and try again.

You see “Couldn’t record the decline” and “Nothing was saved. Try again.”
