Use the Today screen

Today is the first tab and the screen you land on after signing in. It shows the jobs that need you soon, how your milestones are going, and buttons for the things you do most on site.

Who can do this

Anyone signed in to the field app. Job cards, job figures, Add photo and Directions need the Jobs & field module. The next meeting needs Leads & meetings. An Owner switches modules in Settings › Modules.

What’s on the screen

• The header — The sync pill (All synced, or “n waiting to sync”), the bell with your unread count, and your picture or initials for Profile.
• The welcome card — “Good morning, name”, your business and the date, and a gauge of the milestones done on your jobs, such as “3 of 5 done”.
• The period switch — This week, This month or This year. The gauge and the cards below follow it.
• The figure cards — Swipe across for milestones Due this period, Overdue milestones, Photos taken (and how many are waiting), and My expenses (your total, and how many are waiting for approval). There are no other money figures.
• Quick actions — Add photo, Log expense, Scan receipt and Directions (to the site of the first job below).
• Your jobs today — Active jobs you’re on with a milestone that’s overdue or due in the next 7 days. Each card shows the job, customer, site address and next milestone with a chip such as “Due Sat” or “2 days late”. Other jobs are on the Jobs tab; press All jobs to go there.
• Next meeting — Your next meeting in the next 7 days, if you have one.

Use a job card

1. Call the contact — Press Call name on the card. Your phone’s dialler opens with the job contact’s number.
2. Get directions — Press Directions. Your maps app opens at the site address.
3. Open the job — Tap the card to open the job. See Open a job and its details.

Pull down on Today to refresh it.

Tip

Scan receipt opens a new expense straight into the receipt camera. Add photo opens the camera for today’s first job; you can change the job at the top of the camera.

If nothing is due on your jobs in the next 7 days, Today says “Nothing due on your jobs in the next 7 days.”
