Mark a milestone complete
When a stage of the work is finished, mark its milestone complete. You can add photos and notes as evidence. The office is told straight away, and the milestone becomes ready to invoice.
On the web
Section titled “On the web”- Open the job — Go to Jobs, open the job and choose the Milestones tab.
- Start completing it — Press Mark complete on a pending milestone. You can also press the job’s main button, Complete milestone, which picks the next pending one.
- Add evidence (optional) — The dialog “Mark “milestone” complete” asks for Completion notes (site conditions, what was done, anything worth recording) and Photos. Press Add to attach photos. Both are optional.
- Confirm — Press Mark complete. A toast says the milestone is completed and ready to invoice.
The milestone now shows Completed with who completed it and when, and “not invoiced yet” until someone raises its invoice. Your completion notes show under it. The photos appear on the Photos tab, grouped under the milestone’s name.
If a photo can’t upload, you see “Could not upload one or more photos.” Your notes stay, so you can try again.
In the field app
Section titled “In the field app”Crew open the job from Jobs or Today on their phone, then tap Mark complete on the milestone. They can add Photos of the finished work and a Note for the office (optional). With no signal, the completion is saved on the phone and sent when it’s back online.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”- Owners and office staff get a “Milestone completed” notification, by email and in the app.
- The job appears under Ready to bill in the Jobs list.
- The job’s main button changes to Invoice milestone for people who can raise invoices. See Raise a progress invoice from a milestone.
