Mark a milestone complete on site
When you finish a stage of a job, mark its milestone complete from the phone. The office is told as soon as it reaches the server, so they can bill that stage. You can add photos of the finished work and a note. With no signal, the completion is saved on the phone and sent later.
- Open the job — From Today or Jobs, open the job.
- Start completing it — Under Milestones, press Mark complete on the pending milestone. A sheet opens with the milestone, its due date and the job.
- Add photos (optional) — Under Photos of the finished work, press Add to open the camera. Take the photos and press Done to bring them back to the sheet. To drop one, press Remove photo on it.
- Add a note (optional) — In Note for the office (optional), say what’s done and anything they should know.
- Confirm — Press Mark complete.
The sheet reminds you: “Your office is told straight away so they can bill this stage. No signal? It’s saved and sent when you’re back online.”
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”- Online, the milestone shows Completed on the job and the office gets a notification.
- Offline, it shows Completion waiting until it sends. The sync pill on Today counts it. See Work with no signal.
- The office raises the invoice for that stage on the web. You never see milestone amounts or invoices in the app.
If someone else got there first
Section titled “If someone else got there first”If two people complete the same milestone, it’s completed only once. The first completion to reach the server counts. Yours shows as sent in Sync with “Already completed by name”, and nothing changes on the job.
