Fix an item that didn't send
Most problems sort themselves out: when the network drops, the app keeps trying on its own and the item stays Waiting. But if your server refuses an item, for example because a photo is too big, it needs you. It shows in red with the reason and a Fix button.
- Open Sync — Tap the sync pill on Today, or the sync row in Profile. Refused items are under Needs fixing, each with its reason, such as “Didn’t send: the receipt photo is over 10 MB.”
- Press Fix — The fix screen shows the reason in red and the item’s details. A refused expense also opens from Waiting to sync on the Expenses tab.
- Make the change — What you can change depends on the item:
- An expense — Retake photo, Choose a different photo or Remove photo for the receipt, or Edit expense to change the details. The receipt shows its size.
- Site photos or a milestone update — remove the photo that’s causing the problem.
- Send it again — Press Send again. When you edit an expense, press Send on the form.
Common reasons

- “Didn’t send: the receipt photo is no longer on this phone. Take it again or remove it.”
- “Didn’t send: this job isn’t on your list any more.” Your office took you off the crew. Ask them, or delete the item.
Delete an item instead
Section titled “Delete an item instead”Press Delete this expense, Delete these photos or Delete this update. On Android, it’s the bin icon at the top. The app asks first: “It’s removed from this phone and never reaches your office.” Press Delete to confirm.
