Sign in on your phone
The field app works with your own company’s Spine server, so signing in asks for three things: the server address, your email and your password. You stay signed in on the phone until you sign out, so you don’t type passwords on site.
- Open Sign in — Open the app. After the welcome screen (or if you signed out), you see Sign in and “Use the email your office invited you with.”
- Enter the server — In Server, type the link you open Spine with on a computer.
- Enter your details — Fill in Email and Password.
- Sign in — Press Sign in. You land on Today.
If sign-in doesn’t work
Section titled “If sign-in doesn’t work”Each message shows under the field it’s about, and what you typed stays.
- “Can’t reach that server. Check the address — it’s the link you open Spine with on a computer.” The address is wrong or the server isn’t answering. Check it against the link on a computer.
- “That email and password don’t match. Check both, or reset your password.” Check both, or reset your password.
- “You’re offline. Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data to sign in.” Signing in needs a connection.
- “Too many sign-in attempts. Wait a minute, then try again.”
Forgot your password
Section titled “Forgot your password”Press Forgot password?. Your server’s reset page opens in the phone’s browser. Follow the emailed link, then sign in with the new password.
If an Owner set your password
Section titled “If an Owner set your password”An Owner can set a new password for you if you’re locked out. The next time you sign in with it, the app shows Choose your own password before anything else. Enter a New password and Confirm password — “At least 8 characters, not the one you were given.” — and press Save and continue.
