Delete a draft quote

You can delete a quote while it’s still a draft and the customer has never seen it. Once a quote is sent it can’t be deleted, so the record of what you offered is always kept.

Who can do this

Owners, and Staff whose Team has Delete own quotes (for drafts they created) or Delete others’ quotes (for colleagues’ drafts).

1. Open the draft — Go to Quotes and open the draft.

2. Choose Delete draft — Press More and choose Delete draft. On the Quotes list, you can choose Delete from the row’s … menu instead.

3. Confirm — Spine asks Delete this draft quote? and says this permanently removes the draft. Press Delete draft.

4. Check — A toast says Quote deleted, and you’re back on the Quotes list.

Danger

Deleting a draft can’t be undone. Its lines, notes and terms are gone. If you might want them later, duplicate the quote or save its lines as a bundle first.

When there’s no Delete

• Sent, accepted, declined and expired quotes have no delete. To replace a sent quote, revise it. An unanswered quote expires on its Valid until date.
• You don’t see Delete on a draft when your Team doesn’t give you the right to delete it, for example a colleague’s draft when you only have Delete own quotes.
