Present a quote and take the customer's signature

When you’re with the customer, you can show them a quote on your phone and let them accept it there and then. They type their name and sign on the screen. Spine records the signature, the time and you as the staff member present, tells the office straight away and locks the quote’s price.

  1. Open the job — Under Quotes to present, each quote waiting for the customer shows when it was sent. Press Present.
  2. Hand over the phone — The quote opens full-screen with “Hand the phone to your customer”. It shows your business, the quote number, Prepared for, Valid until, the lines, Subtotal, each tax line as on the PDF, Total and Notes.
  3. Accept — The customer presses Accept quote.
  4. Name and signature — The customer types their name in Your name and signs in the box under Sign below. Clear starts the signature again. Above the button is the statement they’re agreeing to: “By signing, I accept this quote for total on behalf of customer. Spine records your signature, the time and the business staff member present (your name).”
  5. Sign — The customer presses Accept and sign. It stays greyed out until there’s a name and a signature.

You see Quote accepted, the number and total, “Signed by name at time.” and that the office has been told and the quote is now locked. Press Back to job.

Owners and office staff get “Quote number was accepted in person.” in their notifications at once. The office then carries on from the accepted quote on the web, for example applying a variation order to the job.

Pressing Present offline shows “Quotes need a connection”: “Accepting a quote locks the price, so it has to reach your office straight away. Move somewhere with signal or Wi-Fi, then try again.” Press Try again once you have signal, or Back to job. Photos, expenses and milestone updates still work offline.
