See your notifications

Notifications tell you when your office approves or rejects an expense, adds you to a job’s crew or takes you off one, and invites you to a meeting. You see them in the app’s own list. The app doesn’t send alerts to your lock screen.

Who can do this

Anyone signed in to the field app. Field members only get notifications about their own expenses, their crews and their meetings, never about money they can’t see.

1. Check the bell — On Today, the bell at the top shows how many are unread (“9+” for more than nine).
2. Open Notifications — Tap the bell. New lists unread ones and Earlier the rest. Each has an icon, a message, a second line with details, and a time.
3. Open one — Tap a notification. It’s marked read, and its expense, job or meeting opens. Expenses and meetings open read-only.
4. Mark everything read — Press Read all.

What you’re told about

• An expense approved, such as “Sarah Mendes approved your expense”.
• An expense rejected, with the reason.
• Being added to a job’s crew, or removed from one.
• Meeting invitations, changes and reminders that a meeting is starting soon.

When a module is switched off, nothing in it sends notifications. If you have none, the list says “You’re all caught up” and “Expense decisions, crew changes and meeting invitations show up here.”

When the list updates

The list refreshes when you open the app or come back to it, and when you pull down on it. There are no push alerts to your phone’s lock screen.

Tip

If a meeting says “This meeting isn’t available”, it may have been cancelled, or you’re no longer invited.
